What is the RedotPay card and how does it work?

RedotPay is a Visa card attached to a mobile app that holds stablecoins and other cryptocurrencies. When you make a purchase, the app draws from your crypto balance and settles the transaction in the local currency at the point of sale. You do not need a traditional bank account to open one.

The service is operated by RedotPay Group. RedotPay is not a bank, and crypto balances held in the app are not covered by deposit protection schemes. The card is accepted wherever Visa is accepted at the merchant level, subject to merchant category restrictions described below.

Two versions are available: a virtual card for online and digital-wallet payments, and a physical card for in-store and ATM use. Both require identity verification (KYC) before the card can be activated. Card issuance is not available in all countries; see Supported Countries for the current restriction lists.

Virtual card vs physical card: which one do I need?

The virtual card is issued instantly inside the app and is designed for online shopping, subscription services, and digital wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay. The physical card is a standard Visa card shipped to your registered address; it is required for in-store tap-and-pay terminals that do not accept digital wallets, and for ATM cash withdrawals.

Feature Virtual card Physical card
Issuance fee US$10 US$100
Annual fee US$0 US$0
Online payments Yes Yes
Apple Pay / Google Pay Yes (after upgrade) Yes (after upgrade)
In-store tap or swipe Via digital wallet only Yes
ATM cash withdrawals No Yes
Issue time Instant Shipped to address

If you primarily shop online or use Apple Pay, the virtual card at US$10 is the lower-cost starting point. If you need ATM access or use physical terminals regularly, the US$100 physical card is necessary. You can hold both under a single account.

How do I top up and spend?

Before you can pay with the card, you must complete identity verification in the app and deposit cryptocurrency into your RedotPay wallet. The app draws from that balance when you spend. RedotPay does not publish a complete list of accepted crypto assets in a single public document; check the app or the Help Center for what is available in your region.

Transactions in the card’s own currency carry no additional conversion charge (0% fee). Transactions in a different currency incur a 1.2% fee on top of the 1% crypto conversion fee applied when topping up the card. Spending outside your card’s currency therefore costs more, so choosing a card denomination that matches where you most often spend reduces costs.

See the KYC page for a step-by-step guide to identity verification and the documents accepted. See the referral code page for details on the welcome reward and how the referral program works.

Which countries can get a RedotPay card?

RedotPay publishes two separate restriction lists: a service availability list (countries where registration is blocked) and a card-issuance restrictions list (countries where accounts may exist but cards cannot be issued). These lists are distinct, and a country may appear on one, both, or neither.

As of the most recent check, the card-issuance restrictions list includes India, Indonesia, Singapore, Turkey, Morocco, Nepal, the United States, Mainland China, and several dozen other countries. India is specifically on the card-issuance restrictions list (RedotPay Help Center, article 14254838, checked 2026-11-06).

RedotPay does not publish a confirmed total count of supported countries. The card is available across a wide range of markets including the Philippines, Nigeria, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Brazil (through RedotX (Samba) Sociedade Prestadora de Serviços de Ativos Virtuais Ltda., CNPJ 62.279.050/0001-07), and much of Latin America and Africa, among others.

For the full restriction tables with checked dates, see Supported Countries. Country-specific pages: Philippines, Nigeria. For India, see RedotPay card in India.

What does RedotPay Pro add, and who needs it?

RedotPay Pro is an optional paid membership. It adds cashback on Apple Pay and Google Pay purchases and, on the annual plan, waives ATM fees up to a monthly limit and provides a bonus yield on RedotPay Earn.

Benefit Monthly plan (US$12.90/month) Annual plan (US$129/year)
Issuance fee waiver One-time waiver of the US$10 virtual card fee One-time waiver of the US$100 physical card fee
Apple Pay / Google Pay cashback 3%, up to US$18/month 3%, up to US$18/month
ATM fee waiver None Up to US$1,000/month, zero fees
RedotPay Earn bonus None +1% APY
Refund policy Non-refundable Non-refundable
Source: RedotPay Help Center, article 14686020, checked 2026-11-07

The monthly plan makes sense if you spend regularly through Apple Pay or Google Pay, where the 3% cashback (up to US$18 per month) can offset the US$12.90 monthly fee depending on your spending volume. The annual plan adds further value if you also withdraw cash from ATMs frequently: the zero-fee ATM benefit covers up to US$1,000 per month.

If you use the card occasionally for online purchases only and mostly in the card’s native currency, the free tier is sufficient. Membership fees are non-refundable, so assess your likely usage before subscribing.

What are the risks and limits of a crypto card?

Crypto assets are volatile. The value of your wallet balance can change between the time you deposit and the time you spend. This is a material difference from a standard prepaid card loaded in a fiat currency, where the amount you deposit is the amount you can spend.

RedotPay is not a bank. Balances in the app are not covered by deposit insurance. If RedotPay were to cease operations, the recovery path for crypto balances would not follow the same process as a regulated bank failure.

Your account may be subject to verification holds or restrictions. Identity verification is mandatory for all users, and providing false information or using another person’s identity violates the terms of service and may result in permanent account closure and loss of funds. Purchasing pre-verified accounts from third parties is prohibited and carries similar risks.

Regulatory status varies significantly by country. Some jurisdictions restrict or prohibit the use of foreign crypto-asset services entirely, and rules can change. For a detailed look at what has and has not been verified about RedotPay’s safety profile, see the Safety page.

FAQ

Is there a free RedotPay card?

No. The virtual card costs US$10 to issue; the physical card costs US$100. New users receive a welcome reward of US$5 USDs as spend-only credit with a 30-day validity window, but this credit cannot be applied toward the issuance fee — it can only be used for purchases. (RedotPay Help Center, article 10566200, checked 2026-11-07)

Can I add funds with crypto only?

RedotPay does not publish a complete list of accepted deposit methods in a single public document. The app supports crypto deposits, but RedotPay does not confirm all supported assets or whether fiat deposit rails are available in all regions. Check the app or the Help Center for the options available in your account.

Does the RedotPay card work everywhere Visa is accepted?

The card runs on the Visa network and works at most Visa terminals, but RedotPay does not confirm acceptance at every merchant. Certain merchant categories — such as gambling platforms, some financial services, and specific online platforms — may decline the card even where Visa is otherwise accepted. The specific merchant fee (1.5%, minimum US$0.50) applies to transactions at certain platforms listed by RedotPay. Check the Help Center or the app for the current list of merchant restrictions.
