Does RedotPay work with Apple Pay in 2026?
The answer depends on your card — and RedotPay’s official Help Center currently contains conflicting information across its own published articles.
Help Center article #12065037 (dated July 21, 2026) states that, effective August 22, 2025, certain service providers were required to make technical adjustments to suspend Apple Pay enablement as a result of Apple’s policy updates for Hong Kong’s Cards-as-a-Service programmes. That same article confirms: “RedotPay cards already added to Apple Pay remain unaffected and continue to function as normal.” It also carries a critical warning: “if a card is removed from Apple Pay, it cannot be added back.”
At the same time, two articles dated after that stated effective date present Apple Pay as fully available. Article #13303136 (July 24, 2026) gives active step-by-step instructions for adding a RedotPay card to Apple Wallet. Article #13303146 (July 26, 2026) describes a free card upgrade process, stating: “To use Apple Pay, some existing cards must be upgraded first.” Neither of those two articles mentions a suspension or restriction.
These two sets of articles have not been reconciled by RedotPay at the time of writing. We cannot determine from public sources which position applies to your card. The most reliable step is to open the RedotPay app and check whether the “Add to Apple Wallet” or “Upgrade card” option appears for your specific card.
Which countries can add a RedotPay card to Apple Pay?
RedotPay does not publish a country-specific Apple Pay availability list. Eligibility depends on two factors: your card’s status (some older cards require a free upgrade before linking) and whether Apple Pay is supported in your device’s region setting.
Apple maintains its own list of countries and regions where Apple Pay is available. Your device’s region setting must be in a country on that list. RedotPay’s Help Center confirms that “the device region must support Apple Pay,” but does not publish its own country-by-country breakdown — check Apple’s support pages directly for the current list.
Users in countries where RedotPay does not issue cards will not be eligible to obtain a card in the first place. See the Supported Countries page for the full restriction list.
How do I upgrade and add my RedotPay card to Apple Pay?
The following steps are drawn from RedotPay Help Center article #13303146 (checked 2026-11-07). Some cards can be linked directly; others require a free upgrade first.
- Update the RedotPay app to version 3.0.1 or later.
- Open the app and go to the Card section.
- If an upgrade prompt appears for your card, complete the free upgrade.
- Tap “Add to Apple Wallet” and follow the on-screen prompts.
- Confirm success when the app shows the “Card Added” message.
The upgrade feature is rolling out gradually. RedotPay states: “We will gradually send app notifications to eligible users.” If the upgrade option has not appeared yet, keep the app updated and notifications turned on.

Yes. RedotPay Help Center article #10339272 (dated July 24, 2026, checked 2026-11-07) gives active instructions for linking a virtual RedotPay card to Google Pay. No restrictions or eligibility conditions are stated in that article.
The setup uses the Wallet app on your Android device. Open the app, tap “+ Add to Wallet,” select “Payment card,” then choose “Enter details manually” and enter your card details. No card upgrade is required for Google Pay.
