What is RedotPay and what can the card do?
RedotPay is a service that lets you fund a card with cryptocurrency and use it for everyday purchases and ATM withdrawals. You deposit crypto to your RedotPay account, and the balance is converted at the point of spending. The card is accepted wherever the card network is available, covering both online and in-store transactions.
Two card types are available. The virtual card (US$10 issuance fee) is delivered instantly and works for online purchases and digital wallets. The physical card (US$100 issuance fee) is a physical card you can use in stores and at ATMs. Neither carries an annual fee. The 1% crypto conversion fee applies when funds move from your crypto balance to the card for spending, and a separate 1.2% fee applies when you spend in a currency other than your card’s default currency.
An optional RedotPay Pro subscription (US$12.9/month or US$129/year) adds cashback on Apple Pay and Google Pay purchases and waives certain fees. For a full breakdown of what Pro includes, see the complete RedotPay guide. For a detailed fee comparison, see the fees page.

How do I open an account and get a card?
The process has three main steps. Before starting, confirm that your country is not on the restriction lists above.
- Download the RedotPay app and create an account with your email address.
- Complete identity verification (KYC) — a government-issued ID such as a passport, national ID card, or driver’s licence is required, along with a selfie. Verification is mandatory for all users. Minimum age is 18. See the KYC guide for the full document requirements and common reasons for failure.
- Order your card — after verification passes, pay the issuance fee (US$10 for virtual, US$100 for physical) and deposit cryptocurrency to load your balance. A referral code, if you have one, must be entered at sign-up; it cannot be added after registration (RedotPay Help Center 10521800, checked 2026-11-07).
For a full step-by-step walkthrough, including how to top up and spend, see the complete RedotPay guide. If you are comparing RedotPay with other crypto cards, see the comparison page.
Is RedotPay safe, and what are the risks?
RedotPay is not a bank and crypto assets held with it are not covered by deposit insurance. The main risks for users are price volatility in the underlying crypto, account verification holds that can delay access to funds, and regulatory changes in your country that may affect service availability. RedotPay does not publish its US money-transmitter licence status or other regulatory certifications in a form that could be independently verified at the time of writing; we have not confirmed these claims from primary sources.

FAQ
Is RedotPay available outside Hong Kong?
Yes. RedotPay accepts users from most countries worldwide, not only Hong Kong. As of 7 November 2026, 35 countries cannot register for the service at all, and a further 12 countries allow account registration but restrict card issuance. Among the countries that cannot register are the United States, Mainland China, Russia, and Ukraine. Among the countries that can register but cannot get a card issued are India, Indonesia, Singapore, Turkey, Morocco, and Nepal. Full official lists: service restriction list and card issuance restriction list (RedotPay Help Center, checked 2026-11-06).
Do I have to pay to get a RedotPay card?
Yes, there is a one-time issuance fee. The virtual card costs US$10 and the physical card costs US$100. There is no annual fee after that. New accounts receive a welcome reward of 5 USDs (valid 30 days, for spending only), but this reward cannot be used to pay the issuance fee. Sources: Help Center 10566200 (issuance and welcome reward) and Help Center 10566233 (annual fee), both checked 2026-11-07.
Is RedotPay a bank?
No. RedotPay is a crypto card service, not a bank. Funds held with RedotPay are not covered by deposit insurance. Because the underlying assets are cryptocurrencies, their value can rise or fall significantly. This is not investment advice. For more on risks and what has been independently verified, see the safety page.
